The engine code is - DV6C (115BHP 1.6) and is a joint venture between PSA and Ford motor company. There is a software fix available at all Ford dealerships. Matthew is correct, the DV6C is the one with the issue. How you find out which engine code you have though is another story.

Remove the generator (engine removed shown). Detach the coolant hose from the coolant pipe. Remove the coolant pipe bolt. Remove the bolt and tube. Remove the accessory drive bracket (engine removed shown). Remove the transaxle lower flange bolts and catalytic converter bracket. Remove the torque converter cover bolts.
